The delicious taco hot dog that you see above was prepared by my daughter. Just in case anyone wants the recipe it is as follows:
1. Microwave a hot dog for about 1 minute.
2. Place hot dog in the middle of a soft taco shell.
3. Squirt mustard and ketchup on top.
4. Roll up like a taco.
5. Watch as your husband takes a bite of it while child is watching, and try not to laugh because this is a proud moment for her.
6. Distract child so that husband can spit out bite.
7. While child is distracted in other room, have husband throw away taco hot dog deep into garbage.
8. Have husband walk up to child and tell them how delicious it was. And when child says, "Daddy, did you save some for Mommy", be thankful because who knows who was helping her and where there hands were before they touched your taco hot dog!!!

Last night we had a sleep over with Stevie. Emma fell asleep next to me, and Stevie fell asleep in Emma's bed. The picture above is how I found them in the morning, and i swear that is how they used to sleep when they were babies. After breakfast, I heard Emma yelling : STEVE, JESUS FELL OUT OF BED!!!!!!!
I started to laugh because all could think was what the heck are they up to now?
So I called them both in the kitchen and asked, what are you two doing? Steve said this is Jesus, and held up this little blue stuffed animal with clouds on it. He said that he named it Jesus because Jesus lives in the sky, and clouds are in the sky. I just started laughing and told them to go and play. So if anyone is wondering what Jesus looks like, just look above!!!

Basketball Dance Off

Today was rainy, so we had to stay in. Emma was pretty excited because today was the last day of summer school, and Stevie was going to sleep over. When it finally stopped raining we went outside. The two of them played basketball for about an hour. It was funny because when one had the ball, the other would dance. Enjoy the pictures.

It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want You!!!

Today was definatly a challenging day. Emma was just not in a good mood. She woke up really crabby and just did not want anything to do with me. So, when Steve showed up this morning I thought, ok maybe now she will be happy. She perked up but still was not herself. When she got off the bus from summer school she was ready to have a party. Elena, Steve, and Emma have been doing this ever since i can remember. Elena is in charge of organizing the party, Emma is on decoration duty ( pink and green toilet pater streamers), and Steve is the chef and sign maker.
They also come up with a set of music, serve the food, and dance for us. It is usually pretty fun and pretty funny. Today was not. Everything was going well until Emma grabbed Stevie's microphone. That was it the fight was on. I was just about to take a picture of the two of them when it started and you will know when you see it. It was a bad one. Emma crossed his name off the guest list, and Stevie told her that today Em is not his best friend. That set her over and she ran to her room and cried. Finally about an hour later we were getting ready to go to the pool. I was putting sun screen on Em and by accident I hit her port.
Emma: Owwww Mommy!!!!!!!!
Mom: Sorry Em.
Stevie: Auntie watch out!! You know that really hurts her!!
He walked over and hugged her, and she hugged him back.
Em: Thanks Steve.
Stevie: Sorry I yelled at you Auntie.
Mom: It's ok Steve.
The fight was over and the rest of the day turned out to be pretty good. Tomorrow we are off to the Book Nook at the Watertown Library to see what kind of books we can find for cheap. Emma hopes to find some Fancy Nancy or Curious George, and Steve wants a book that shows the inside of the human body. Hopefully we find both!

Today was a pretty crazy day. Elena and Stevie came over at 7 am, and as usual Emma did not want to get ready for school. After Emma got on the bus, I started to get some house work done when the phone rang. My 10 year old cousin Olivia had had enough of Azi and wanted to come over. She arrived at 10. We got Emma off the bus at 11:45 and ate lunch. They played super stars in concert ( they dress up and sing really loud Hanna Montana songs) untill 2, then we were off to the pool. We stayed intil about 5. When we got back I gave 3 kids (including myself)a bath and then we were off to the park to listen to a band and eat pizza and ice cream. It was a really fun day but boy am I tired. Tomorrow will be quiet and I am looking forward to it. Maybe I will take Emma somewhere special.....stay tuned.

Butter Girl

This weekend was pretty quiet for the three of us. Saturday Emma had her cooking class and made pasta. Emma was in charge of buttering the bread, and as usual she got in trouble for licking the butter. On sunday we went to the pool to cool off for an hour, and then after Emma's bath Pat made chocolate milk shakes (yummy!). Tomorrow we head to the hospital for counts when Emma comes home from summer school, then it's off the Aunties.

Attack of the kidney stone

Hey everyone, as most of you know, I got another kidney stone this past weekend. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go to Grandma's picnic and we were really looking forward to it. We also couldn't go on our planned vacation with Tracey, Frank and the kids. Pat was able to keep Emma busy with mini-golf and swimming. By Thursday night, this should all be over and done with, and we can get back to our summer fun. We hope that we will be able to get up to Mass one of these weekends to see everyone, we will have to see. I added a couple of pics of Emma going to summer school and mini-golfing, Tiger eat your heart out. Talk to you soon. Angela

Today we started our steriods...not happy!

8:15p.m good night to all!
Hi everyone! Today was a procedure day at the hospital so we were there for a while. Emma was kind of nervous but as usual my strong little lady showed her strength. I was worried because last week her numbers were dropping but (thank God) they came right back up. As usual we had Eileen as our nurse, a die hard Red Sox fan so as Emma was being sedated Pat Was talking about Red Sox Drama. Dr. I is a Yankee fan so to change the subject he told a joke:

Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella?

I love Eileen and Dr. I they always know how to make us laugh when we are worried about what is going on. Well We head to Grandmas in Mass on Saturday and we can't wait to see everyone. ... Angela
