Uncle Pat, This Maul Is For You!!!!

Today was the annual picnic for Kids for Kids, a foundation that helps kids out who have cancer, at Quassy Amusement Park. Uncle Frank and Stevie met up with us in the morning at about 10. As we were packing up the car, Stevie noticed that the tag sale next door had toys that have never been opened. We headed over and to our surprise they had all unopened star wars toys. Stevie was in heaven. Frank gave the man a 20 and told him to tell him when to stop taking things. So four of the things that Steve took were these piggy banks. Each of the piggy banks have a different character on top that moves and talks. He was so happy and excited to have all of the new toys he ran up to Pat and said, " Uncle Pat I want you to have the Darth Maul bank." Pat said thank you and we were on our way.
The rest of the day was pretty fun we ate hamburgers, hot dogs and chips, and enjoyed many rides. We also went into Saturation Station, but it was much to cold for the kids. We headed home at about 7, and took Darth Maul out of the car. When we put him on the kitchen table we quickly realized that he has a sensor. So, every time we walk by him he says something mean and waves his double sided light saber at us. All I can think of as I sit here is I have only one, my sister now has Darth Vader, R2d2, C3PO, and Anikin. Can you imagine what it is going to be like if Stevie gets up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!!!! I think we will take the batteries out of ours!!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Yesterday Memere, Poppa, Uncle Frank, Auntie Tracy, Elena, Stevie, Pat, Em, and I went to a New Britain Rock Cats baseball game. Swim Across the Sound, a wonderful organization that has helped my family in many ways, were honoring children that have survived cancer. I was a little worried because Em had never been to a live baseball game, and I didn't know if she would like it. She loved it!!!!! So we ate hot dogs , hamburgers, pretzels, fried dough, and ice cream sooo yummy!! We also got to watch a cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee chase a donut around the field. We had such a great time and all agreed that we have to go back. On the way home I asked Em what she thought about the game, and she said, " I liked it when the coffee chased the donut, but how come he couldn't come and say hi to me?" I just laughed and said, "I don't know maybe it was time to make the donuts." When I put her in bed she hugged me and said, "Mommy thank you for bringing me to the game, and thank you for inviting my family. " I just smiled and said, " I love you Lady, goodnight."

Family Visit

Lori and Pete came down this weekend, and it was nice to see them and catch up. Emma loved it because Charlotte was here and they had a really good time. On Saturday, after they arrived, we went over to Memere and Pop's house for dinner. Charlotte and Emma decided to help out Pop and do a little yard work. They were raking the lawn and driveway, but we realized after a while that maybe it wasn't such a good idea. On Sunday morning we had breakfast at our place with everyone. Afterwards we all went outside and the little girls played with Uncle Peter and Uncle Pat. When it was time for the Nason's to go home the girls were pretty sad (and tired) so as the red Jetta pulled away Emma said , "I miss her" and Memere said, "you miss her already and she is not even off of your street". Mem and Pop left right after them because they had yard work to do and after they left:
Emma: (crying) Why did they all have to go, I miss them!!!
Mom: Charlotte lives in New Hampshire and that is far away.
Emma: How far?!
Mom: 4 hours.
Emma: I hate NH!!!!!!!!
She was so sad and so tired she actually fell asleep for an hour. I hope that Lori and Pete were as lucky on their way home because Charlotte was just as sad and tired. It was so nice to see them and We can't wait to see them again.

The Nason's Are Coming!!!

Hello everyone! This week has been pretty rainy, but yesterday the sun came out and we were able to go outside and have some water fun with our friends Izzy and Raina. I have those huge water tube guns that squirt water and the kids really love them. Today the kids are pretty tired from staying up and watching the Olympics, so we are just taking it easy. Emma and Elena are playing with their American girl dolls, and as usual Stevie is pretending to be the chef for them. In a little while we are going to watch a movie and enjoy some monkey munch that I made for them this morning. As for tonight Emma is sleeping over their house, and I am planning on doing NOTHING!!! I need some quiet time. On Saturday afternoon Lori, Pete, and Charlotte are coming to stay with us, and I cant wait to see them!!!! Emma is so excited she actually told Elena and Steve not to call because she needed time with her cousin. I hope that the weather is nice so we can all enjoy the outdoors. So have a great weekend everyone!!!!! And oh ya if you guys like my blog please comment.....no one ever does and I am starting to think that I am talking to myself. LOL

Happy Birthday Abby and Morgan

Yesterday, Pat, Em, and I went over to the Holly's for Abigail and Morgan's 6th birthday party. We have known the Holly's now for 5 years, and its hard to believe that the girls are all 6 now. I met Dave Holly at play group at the park when Em was 18mo old and our families have been friends ever since. Emma loves this party because it is pure water fun! The Holly's have one of those huge water slides so she has a lot of fun. Today, Pat, Em, Stevie, and Uncle Frank head to mini golfing, and Tracy, Elena and I head to The Titanic exhibit at the XL center in Hartford today. Hopfully the rain will hold off so the boy's don't have to think of something else to do.

Happy Birthday Memere!!!!!!!

Last night Pat, Em, and I went over to Mem and Pops to celebrate Mems bitthday. Emma was so excited! Early in the day I brought her to Marc's Gardens here in Watertown to pick out a gift. She got her Memere a bird house. It was so cute because there were so many to choose from, but she picked out the one with a red bird on top because, that was "more MY MEMERE"!! Memere loved it!!!! She also loved the fact that she got to eat chocolate cake at 10 at night!!! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEMERE, these pics are for you!!!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Justin Egan

On Saturday August 2 Patrick, Emma and I went to Justin Egans wedding. We had a really good time. Emma was really excited, she had never been to a wedding before. She had a really good time, but, this week she got a lot of chemo so she was pretty tired. She did however dance with her dad and I. Above are the pics and I hope you enjoy them. Other than that, we celebrate Memere's birthday this week, and in two weeks Peter, Lori and Charlotte are coming. We can't wait to see them!!! It will be a little while before I blog again, our computer is going to be fixed this week and I don't know how long it will take. Hopefully I will get it back soon.
